More cool tees!

I really love kids tees and onesies with appliqued cuties on the front! Local Perth seller Inuk Designs makes these beautiful tees from bamboo, organic cotton and upcycled materials. You can purchase locally and know that the fabrics are prepared in a sustainable manner.

Nearly enough for a teaparty!

I ordered the teapot that I have been wanting last night! There was a promotion through KitchenWareDirect for free shipping on orders over $49, so I took advantage to buy the teapot and an icing pen that will hopefully make icing gingerbread a tidier task!

The teapot will go nicely with my two blue Dibbern teacup+saucer+plate sets. I am thinking that what the set will need next (before I add more t+s+p sets) is a milk jug and sugar bowl! I might head back to Dibbern, I do love the colours.

Funky Jewellery and Prints

These funky pieces and prints are by adopted Perth artist lesadraws. I love the cassette earrings, and she also has a cassette necklace if you want to coordinate!

Tall Trees Teether

The giraffe "Raffey" by Anak Handmade is so adorable! He is intended as a teething toy and is reportedly lovely and soft.

"Raffey" is the only toy in the shop for this seller, and again the only information is that they are in the ACT!

Handmade Baby

I feel somewhat in the midst of a baby boom, my cousin has just had her second child and I have at least five friends who are expecting this year. Not to mention the babies and toddlers who are already out there!

I really like the range of handmade baby clothes currently available. I accept that these are not necessarily the best clothes for a parent to buy on a budget, however they can make lovely gifts, and will hopefully make it through a few families!

These funky and sweet clothes are by MadeIt seller Impish. The elephant is so cute!

There is nothing that I can see on the profile page to give insight into the person behind Impish, just a location of New South Wales.

Fashion WA

I found a new local site, FashionWA.com, that showcases local WA designers! There is a blurb on each designer, many who are newly formed and working to establish their label.

There is also an online shop, and link to the designers website for more information on their collections.

Tell it to the trees...

This tree is by MadeIt seller Mr Killmousky. Not quite on the same scale as the ones that I was considering at Christmas time, but still quite sweet and with birdies in the branches. It is very tempting...

I am a teapot...

I have been dreaming about this Zero Japan teapot for a few months. I am waiting for an excuse to justify the expense. I do think that it would go very well with my Dibbern teacups!

To market, to market

I am a bit disappointed, the first few handmade markets here in Perth are coming up and I will miss them! I am going to be a busy girl, attending a couple of weddings and will not be able to make them.

The first is the South Perth Unwrapped market, from 1pm to 6pm on Saturday 6th March. This year it will be at Sir James Mitchell Park, on the South Perth foreshore between the Jetties at Coode Street and Mends Street. They will have more than 70 local designers there exhibiting their talents.

Made on the Left is also the same weekend. This market will be held at the foreshore in Mandurah, from 11am to 8.30pm on Saturday 6th March and from 11am to 5pm on Sunday 7th March.
Update: It looks like Made on the Left has been cancelled for Mandurah and their next market will not be until Bunbury in July!!!

The Perth Upmarket is from 10am to 4pm on Sunday 28th March at Winthrop Hall at UWA. The Perth Upmarket boasts "over 100 of Perth's most talented artists, designers, craftsmen and gourmets".

I enjoy browsing the markets and seeing the interesting and wonderful locally made products. Hopefully I will be able to make some later in the year.

Teddy

This little fellow is super cute! Snuggle's fur is alpaca and sure to be extra soft. Snuggle and his den mates are made by Bare Cub Designs here in Perth. You can purchase bears as well as patterns to make your own!

Sweet felt

These tasty treats are handmade by Little Fluff Stuff. The felt is all made of 100% recycled post-consumer water bottles, so you can enjoy the cuteness and feel that you are helping the earth by reusing waste.

Robot Matroyshka

Etsy seller Jackie Koehler has these adorable robot Matroyshka dolls for sale. I love the different colours and the quirky facial expressions.

Elly Oak

Beautiful linens and cards available from Elly Oak, hand screen printed in Melbourne.

Groovy Head Band

I ordered some items from Thea & Sami a few weeks ago, including these two head bands. They are made from the off cuts of the organic jersey fabric that is used to make leggings and tops. I love mine! I think that I have worn one of them every day since they arrived a week ago.

(That is not me by the way, the photos are from the Thea & Sami Online shop.)

Stationery delights

I wonder if it annoys anyone else as much as it annoys me see signs in shops that advertise "Stationary". Especially when it has been printed, and is not a handwritten effort?! I mean, of course the sign is not moving, but I do not think that it is necessary to state the obvious.

On a side note, I am really loving the wide range of stationery available.

I initially started this post on the 12th December 2009, and never felt strongly enough to post it. Today, I have seen two websites both advertising "stationary"! One was a site for a company here in Perth that designs wedding "stationary", and the other was an Etsy seller.

I did a search on Etsy and came up with 45,200 items tagged as "Stationery" and 4,200 items tagged as "Stationary".

I know that English is confusing, but that just seems out of control!
